The original design for this was created around 1996, after a night out at Pagan, a psy-trance party held at the wonderful Tyssen Street Studios in Dalston, London. I had spent quite a lot of the night painting peoples faces with geometric patterns in fluorescent paint. UV lights and fluorescent colours were all the rage in those days. The original design was hand drawn and was then printed onto T-shirts with fluorescent ink. Back in those days I would sell my T-shirts in clubs, parties and festivals. The Orgone Particle was my best seller. The name came from a conversation I had at one of the parties that I had my stall at. This guy suggested that it looked like an orgone particle. I had not heard of such a thing until then. He told me about Dr Wilhelm Reich, an Austrian scientist who discovered orgone particles which he thought was the universal energy of vitality.
This version has been created in Abode Illustrator and has more detail to it than the original. It is also no longer fluorescent.
